If you are a parent and your kid is about to head off to college, you owe it to yourself to talk to your children before you say goodbye to them for the time being.
The last thing you want is for that to be the last time you talk to them. That is how serious addiction can be and is for a lot of people. It starts for a lot of people in college.
The AAC wants parents to get a head start on making sure their children are not going to become an addict.
Once someone becomes an addict, it is so hard to regain a normal life in the future. Now, that is not to say it can’t be done. However, it will be very, very difficult.
Why would you want your kid to go through all of that pain and suffering if they don’t have to? The AAC is always one step ahead of people when it comes to addiction. They know what happens on college campuses, and they know all of the temptations that one can face when they are invited to a party.

They want to get good grades and be at the top of their class. It can be obtained if they put in the work and focus on their studies. However, if they are getting addicted to various drugs such as Adderall, it’s going to put a major dent in their plans.
That is why it needs to be stopped before it even starts. They need to head into college with a clear head, and they need to know what to avoid when they are on campus.
It is why it starts with their family. If they have them knowing what to avoid and stay away from, the parents can rest a little bit easier at night knowing their son or daughter won’t be someone that ends up with an addiction to something that could be life threatening.
