Public health and public relations are crucial areas in any given community. In the American Intitute of Architects, Robert Ivy, the executive vice president and chief executive officer of the institute, explains that architecture can play a great role in improving health and giving disaster research solutions. Some of the materials used to design and construct buildings can have a negative effect on humans health. In that case architectures make sure that they use materials that do not have any negative effect on the human body thus improving public health.

American Institute of Architects

The American Institute of Architects is a professional organization that is headquartered in Washington, D.C. The AIA offers programs such as education, government lobbying, redeveloping communities, and public outreach to support architects as a profession. This organization was started in 1857 by a group of 13 architects, who invited 16 other well-known architects to join them. In modern times, he feels that buildings and cities are designed to promote exercise through stairs, and an ability to walk around.
